Chandler Hall is seeking a Director of Nursing for our Medicare/Medicaid certified Friends Nursing Home which provides short term rehabilitation as well as long term living for 53 residents. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years experience as a DON and a history working in not for profit settings. Working knowledge of AOD a plus, but comfort with paper charts and processes as well. Experience working in a CCRC also helpful. Candidate should have an open communication style and be able to engage staff, residents and families. Job functions include maintaining quality and care which meets/exceeds Chandler Hall and regulatory expectations, partnering wih the Interdisciplinary team to achieve goals and outcomes, partnering with the Medical Director to assure clinical excellence, partnering with NHA to prepare annual budget, development and oversight of policies and procedures, maintaining and overseeing data for quality, compliance and risk management.

JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, wash, sanitize and store items and maintain safe and clean environment, working cooperatively as a team member.
Sanitation and Safety
Properly washes and sanitizes all dishes, utensils and cooking equipment and stores in the proper location
Maintain clean & sanitize work area, empty garbage after each meal
Report any needed equipment repairs to supervisor
Adheres to all Health Department and OSHA regulations.
Adheres to the injury/accident, uniform and other department policies & standards
CUSTOMER SERVICE, STAFF AND CLIENT RELATION
Treats all customers, staff and management with professionalism, care and respect.
Supports staff and management in developing a sense of teamwork and cooperation

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow posted schedule and get approval from management for any changes to the schedule.
Attend staff and safety meetings.
Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
PHYSICAL: Must be able to stand, walk and exert well paced mobility for period of up to four (4) hours in length. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and use proper lifting skills. Manual-dexterity to do dishes.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work in a clean, well-lighted and ventilated kitchen. Hazards typical to a food service kitchen (hot cooking surfaces, electrical equipment, wet floors, sharp objects and hazardous cleaning chemicals)
BSP EXPOSURE: Category II: Your tasks and normal routines involve no exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues. In the event of an unexpected blood, body fluid or tissue spill there will be an employee available who has been designated to take responsibility for clean-up and decontamination of potentially infectious body substances. You are not to come in contact with potentially infectious body substances
