Foulkeways, a prestigious retirement community in Gwynedd, Pa, is looking for a full time cook who will be responsible for preparing hot and cold food from scratch using recipes. We are looking for candidates that have at least 5 years working in a high end, high-volume, fast paced environment. The position is 4 days a week and every other weekend with varied shifts but because we are a retirement community you are home at a decent hour even working the later shift. Previous supervisory and managerial experience required. Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities. Chandler Hall began as nursing home in 1973 and over the years has responded to the needs of our community offering a wide spectrum of services for individuals at all stages of the aging process. Services include Adult Day Health, Community Living and Personal Care, Residential Hospice, Home Hospice, Home Health, Independent Living, Respite Care, and Skilled Nursing Care are just some of the programs currently offered.
The organization serves a wide range of constituents from Newtown and elsewhere throughout Bucks County. Our 13-acre campus can accommodate 159 long-term residents, as well as 8 hospice residents and 44 independent living residents. Chandler Hall employs over 300 dedicated staff members, with the support of more than 100 regular volunteers, and additional volunteers from local schools, religious organizations, service groups and corporations. Chandler Hall is seeking a Director of Nursing for our Medicare/Medicaid certified Friends Nursing Home which provides short term rehabilitation as well as long term living for 53 residents.
