Barclay Friends
Located in a residential area, this established organization is a state-of-the-art facility. Skilled nursing residents enjoy spacious private and semi-private rooms with views of courtyards or the surrounding neighborhood. Services include short-stay rehabilitation, respite care and hospice. The Residential and Assisted Living community provides residents with private studios or larger units that include kitchenettes. Respite care is provided as space is available. Situated in suburban Bucks County in Newtown, Pennsylvania, Chandler Hall provides a wide range of health and wellness services for the aging, including assisted living, nursing care, home health, hospice, adult day programs, geriatric assessment, and case management. Through the on-site primary care Wellness Center, Chandler Hall also provides geriatric health care to people in the wider community. The community includes specialized Alzheimer’s care, an aquatics program and features an inter–generational program in conjunction with an on–site child development program.

Friends Hospice provides hospice care, advocacy and information to individuals and families facing life-limiting illness. Care is generally provided at home and is intended to maximize the quality of life - physical, social and spiritual. A team of nurses, social workers, hospice aides, chaplains/counselors, physicians and volunteers work with the individual and family to ensure comfort and maintain as much function as possible. Care is planned to provide for the unique needs of each individual and family.Friends Hospice is pleased to serve all who need our care, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. Our program is designed to care for a wide diversity of families. We have a particular intention to meet the needs of the under-served communities of Philadelphia, including people with disabilities, inadequate housing or family/support systems, and other challenges. Education about end-of-life care and concerns is available for congregations, other groups or individual inquiries.
