Kendal at Lexington
Opened in 2000, Kendal at Lexington is nestled on 85 acres near historic Lexington, Virginia. Located between the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountains at the southern tip of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, Lexington is also home to Washington and Lee University and the Virginia Military Institute. Residents of this CCRC take full advantage of the educational and cultural events afforded by these two institutions, by auditing classes, attending academic and athletic events, or organizing their own on-site “Kendal College”. The community offers 23 types of residential settings in cottages and 3-story apartment buildings, as well as assisted living suites. The Benjamin Borden Health Center provides skilled and long term nursing services.
