Board Development
Staff: Jane Mack, Executive Director; Bonalyn Mosteller, Director of Leadership Development & Training Program This program offers an array of services to boards of FSA member organizations. Some are offered in collaboration with MHS Alliance and Fellowship of Brethren Homes affiliates. Services include: • Annual orientation session for new board members • Facilitation of retreats • Consultation with individual boards on issues of concern to them, including succession planning, recruitment, board chair/CEO partnerships, and board orientation • Interpretation and training on Quaker governance • Recruitment of Friends for Quaker boards (through Governance Matters!) • Roles and Responsibilities of Nonprofit boards • Convening occasional sessions for board members across FSA member organizations, with particular focus on best practices in Quaker governance Cost: On-site consultation or facilitation is generally priced at $1,100 per day. Other events are cost-based or free of charge. |
