Chandler Hall, a non-profit, Quaker facility, provides high-quality care for older adults in Newtown, Bucks County and offers a wide spectrum of services for individuals at all stages of the aging process including Community Living, Personal Care, Residential Hospice, Home Hospice, Independent Living, Respite Care, and Skilled Nursing Care.

We are currently seeking a Housekeeper to ensure the Chandler Hall Health Services facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for our residents and staff. This is a full-time role, working Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 4:30pm and every other weekend.

The Housekeeper is responsible for working as a team member by being responsible in maintaining and cleaning their assigned area, as well as certain common areas. In this role, the right person must be able to move all throughout the workday, as well as function independently and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible to maintain your assigned area using the developed cleaning procedures and time schedules.
  • In addition to the specific unit, certain common areas are cleaned daily at the direction of the Lead Housekeeper or Sr. Housekeeper.
  • All emergencies are handled immediately.
  • General housekeeping, carbonizing, cleaning of isolation rooms and discharge residents as outlined on schedule and as needs dictate.
  • Makes recommendations to Lead Housekeeper or Sr. Housekeeper regarding equipment that is not working and needs repairing.
  • Uses supplies and equipment safely and effectively according to directions.
  • Collaborates effectively with team members to assure a safe and well-maintained environment for all.
  • Adheres to attendance policy as well as clocking in/out procedures.
  • Adheres to Chandler Hall dress code.
  • Responds to the needs of the Chandler Hall residents and the facility in general.

Education, Experience and Competencies

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Respects confidentiality
  • Ability to read, write and demonstrate proper documentation
