Barclay Friends, a premier not-for-profit nursing and post-acute rehab community, is seeking a full-time Education Coordinator to join the Health Services department to plan, develop, organize, and execute education services for new and existing colleagues. The Education Coordinator also functions as the Designated Infection Control Nurse and is responsible for all infection reports and the Antibiotic Stewardship Program. In addition, the Education Coordinator will work with local colleges, universities and technical programs to coordinate clinical rotation and ensure students are educated on Barclay Friends Policies and Procedures before starting their clinical studies. Other essential duties include completing manager-on-duty weekends, presenting mandatory in-services, assisting with recruitment efforts and supporting the Assistant Director of Nursing when needed. This is a full-time, exempt position. The typical position hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm with occasional evenings and weekend hours required.

Interested candidates should be a graduate of an accredited school or nursing program with current licensure by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Registered Nurse. Candidates should have 2+ years relevant experience as a nurse or education coordinator, with proven organizational skills. Prior MatrixCare experience or experience working in long-term care, assisted living, and with older adults is preferred. BSN or MSN preferred. Wound experience or certification preferred.
