SUMMARY OF JOB:

Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services, the Personal Care Administrator is authorized to take any reasonable action necessary to carry out the responsibility delegated to her/him as such action does not deviate from established policy and practice as defined by Pennswood Village and the current Pennsylvania Personal Care Administrator in the management of the Personal Care Facility.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of an accredited Personal Care Administrator program.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Licensed to practice as a Personal Care Administrator in the state of Pennsylvania.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:         

  • Demonstrated success in leadership.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word based computer systems and departmental software (Electronic Health Records), as required.
  • Three years supervisory experience; minimum one year experience in geriatrics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Certified in CPR.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Able to meet the physical demands of the position, i.e., bending, lifting a minimum of 20 lbs, assisting with the transferring of patients.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
