Board Development

Our experts offer services geared toward needs specific to Boards of Directors:

  • Determining roles and responsibilities of a nonprofit board
  • Facilitating retreats
  • Consulting with individual boards on specific areas of concern, including succession planning, recruitment, board chair/CEO partnerships and board orientation
  • Interpreting and training for values-based governance
  • Convening collaborative sessions for board members across FSA member organizations, with particular focus on best practices in nonprofit and Quaker governance

Organizational Development

Ongoing support of member organizations through customized team development and consultative coaching. Three hours of coaching per year is included in an organization’s membership.

Peer Groups

Professional peers from FSA member organizations meet 2-3 times per year to share ideas and resources and engage in a forum for problem-solving. Current FSA peer groups include: admissions and marketing, administrative assistants, human resources, technology, development, resident services CFOs/business managers and CEOs.
