Chandler Hall | Administrative Internship (2 available)
Administrative Interns will receive a solid overview of the operational aspects of a senior care community and interact with the department heads of all key operational functions. They will administer resident surveys to identify needs and wants from a program and services perspective, then review and analyze results and research and make recommendations for new programs and/or services to the Leadership Team of Chandler Hall.

Foxdale | Compliance Policy Revising and Inter-disciplinary Job Shadowing
This internship would be best suited for an undergraduate student in Health Policy Administration. The intern will work with the Compliance and Risk Manager to revise compliance policies and to set policies into an automated revision cycle using our software program. The remaining internship availability will be taking on short-term projects for the Director of Nursing, the Director of Health Services, the Director of Development and other members of the leadership team. The intern should be comfortable learning from various sources and team members with diverse styles.

The ideal candidate would be someone studying the field of Media, Administration, Journalism or Fundraising. This intern would be intimately involved in developing methods to “tell the story of Friends House.” They would benefit from this internship by gaining experience in website, print and digital newsletter production, donor proposals and list management. Good writing and editing skills are a must.

The ideal candidate would be someone studying Nursing Home Administration, Social Work, or Nursing and Healthcare Management. This intern would be involved in developing and implementing a system to track resident attendance and participation in planned activities and to identify areas for improvement. The intern would be supervised by the Friends House Activities Director.

The ideal candidate would be someone studying Psychology or Human Resources. Intern will gain experience in implementing systems to bring Friends House Human Resources into the digital world, create Human Resources systems and processes, and communicate new policies to Senior Staff and staff at large. The intern would be supervised by the Director of Human Resources.

The intern will learn how to create a survey to assess intergenerational relations, analyze the results, and create interventions. This includes investigating and creating lesson plans to allow children and residents to interact, and developing and implementing an action plan to address what is learned from the survey.
