Executive Assistant/Board Coordinator
Kendal Crosslands is seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant/Board Coordinator.
Kendal~Crosslands Communities is a nonprofit retirement community nestled on a 500-acre campus with rolling hills, lush meadows, and an accredited arboretum. Adjacent to world-renowned Longwood Gardens, we have been a leader in the industry for over 50 years and seek a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant/Board Coordinator to support the Chief Executive Officer and Board Clerk. This pivotal role serves as the primary support for the administrative offices, while also managing office operations and front desk staff across our community.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide high-level administrative support, including schedule management, travel coordination, meeting preparation, and correspondence.
- Coordinate internal and external events such as leadership and board meetings, resident forums, and committee meetings.
- Maintain board records, prepare meeting handbooks, and support board committees
- Supervise front desk staff, manage scheduling, hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Oversee daily office operations, including mail, equipment maintenance, and supply management
- Support other senior staff with administrative duties
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field experience preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of professional administrative experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office platforms and a willingness to learn new software
- Excellent organizational skills, communication, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to handle confidential information, manage staff, and effectively accomplish multiple priorities
- Demonstrate the ability to be proactive by anticipating the needs of the office or staff
- Compassionate and respectful approach to working with older adults and families
- Familiarity with the healthcare or retirement industry highly preferred
