We are currently seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dynamic Director of Social Services to lead our social work department and support the emotional and psychosocial well-being of our residents.

Barclay Friends is a Quaker values-based Skilled Nursing, Personal Care, Memory Care, and Post-Acute Rehabilitation center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the Social Services department, ensuring regulatory compliance and high standards of care.
  • Provide support to residents and families during admissions, discharges, and transitions of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans addressing the psychosocial needs of each resident.
  • Serve as a liaison between residents, families, staff, and external agencies.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality assurance programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Social Work (BSW or MSW) required.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in long-term care, healthcare, or related field.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to social services in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
