Today's growing aging population calls for a well-informed workforce. That means continuing education—through all stages of your career—is more important than ever. We offer individual coaching on new challenges, ongoing group instruction on key topics, and everything in between.
Whether you wish to hone your management skills and behaviors, strategize or problem solve, working with a coach can help enhance your leadership abilities both in and out of the office. An experienced FSA coach will work one-on-one with you in a safe, confidential environment to help you develop sustainable strategies and achieve your goals.
FSA is committed to seeking understanding and fostering conversation about diversity and inclusion from a perspective anchored in values. To assist our members with diversity and inclusion initiatives within their organizations, we offer the facilitation services, workshops, training and peer groups.
The FSA Internship Program is a fantastic opportunity to introduce young adults to the possibilities of working in the senior living field. Sponsored jointly with Friends Foundation for the Aging, this program provides 8-10 week experiences for college students to live and work in a Life Plan Community/CCRC and gain experience and exposure to this industry. We work closely with several universities to place motivated students in these spots. Interns have worked in a number of different departments, including Administration, Human Resources, Social Work and Food Service.
2021 marks the tenth summer for the program; we have placed almost 50 interns in FSA member locations nationwide. Read more.
Since 2013, the FSA Leadership Institute has offered a unique, in-depth experiential learning opportunity for current, emerging and new senior leaders to enhance and deepen their understanding of leading in a Quaker-affiliated organization. This intensive cohort-style experience is designed to give leaders ways of thinking and practicing that are congruent with Quaker values. Read more.
As a benefit to its members, FSA partners with a local college to offer deeply discounted tuition for a MS or Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Organizational Development and Leadership with a concentration in Health and Human Services Leadership or Senior Services Leadership.
