Barclay Friends, a premier not-for-profit continuing care retirement community, is seeking a full-time Information Technology (IT) Manager to join our team!

The IT Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of Barclay Friends’ network by performing IT infrastructure, computer hardware, and software installation, as well as maintenance and troubleshooting as needed. The IT Manager will be strategic, identify needs and help coordinate the training of employees in the use of computer systems/applications. The IT Manager will also be responsible for budgeting for and acquiring new IT infrastructure, computer hardware, and software (as required). The IT Manager directs, coordinates and supports development and production activities of the computerized management information systems department, as well as works closely with the Kendal Corporation IT team to ensure all processes run smoothly. The IT Manager also serves as the HIPAA Security Officer for Barclay Friends.

This is an exempt position. The position hours are typically Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. However, the IT Manager is expected to adhere to a flexible work schedule depending on the needs of the organization. Evening and weekend hours should be expected.

Qualifications for the position: High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a user support function. Undergraduate college degree preferred. Experience and knowledge of standard horizontal software applications (Microsoft Office, Acrobat Reader) and operating environments (Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Server) required. Basic understanding of network communications is required. Experience with installation, support and troubleshooting of local and wide area networks is required. Experience supporting WiFi and phone connections is required.
