SUMMARY OF JOB:
The Registered Nurse is authorized to take any reasonable action necessary to carry out the responsibility delegated to her/him so long as such action does not deviate from established policy and practice as defined by Pennswood Village and the current Pennsylvania Professional Nursing Act in the management of patient care services in the Skilled Nursing Facility and the Personal Care Facility.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Additional education in physical assessment.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
General knowledge of Microsoft Windows based computer system. Advanced knowledge of departmental software, as required. Appropriate computer experience for position. Prior experience in geriatrics preferred. CPR Certified.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to meet the physical demands of the position, i.e., lifting a minimum of 20 lbs., bending, transferring of patients. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
